One of our main goals is to use a sustainable method to turn deforested land next to intact rainforest into secondary rainforest by growing Guarana Energy . ARFI helps local farmers by giving them land and Guarana seeds for a fair trade, all-organic production. Guarana is a creeper that grows in our newly built farm. It grows up trees in a way that is good for the environment. It can only be picked by hand, and because it only grows in the Amazon and Atlantic Rainforests, its fame on the world market as a natural and healthy energy seed is skyrocketing. Guarana is in high demand, so its costs are high. This gives local farmers a good income. When Guarana is grown, it makes 20% of its seeds in the first year.
